Speaker Questions

Is it weird to mix speaker brands? Like if I had one/more JBL SRX828SP subs for example and I wanted to run QSC K12.2’s as tops as opposed to JBL tops?
What are the pro’s/cons between a three way speaker(SRX 835/KW 153) vs a dual 15(PRX 825)?
I see QSC more than any other brand in clubs, any idea why?
