Speaker connected to amp and surround?

As I use my front speakers (ProAc studio 250)from the surroundsystem on my audio system too, am I wondering if there are any risk connected the speaker to both amplifiers at the same time? of cause I can't play music and movie at the same time, but can I damege the speakers?
Thanks

If I understand you correctly, you have two amplifiers connected to the same pair of speakers.

I would be concerned for the amplifiers if this is the case, as the outputs will most certainly be damaged in one or possibly both of these when powered up. Bi connection of interconnect cable is not a problem, but speaker wire is. Perhaps you are referring only to the interconnects?
I would keep a flashlight around in case your house circuit breaker trips! I have done it before auditioning amps, but when one amp was on the other was completely off. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. I agree with Albertporter, you need to solve the problem with interconnects, not the speaker cables.
Yes I mean two amps connected to the same speaker by speaker cables, but thanks for the advice. I don't know how to connect them with interconect cables yet. I have to think haha,. Maybe your guys could help me? I have a Sony surround amp in the midle and two Cary audio monoblocks beside each speaker, how can this be possible to connect with interconect cable?

Thanks

Use a cable from the Sony surround amp ( front channel out ) to feed the Cary amp, that way only the Cary will have speaker cables run to your ProAc's. It should be the better sounding of the two amps anyway.

If your surround processor is outside of the Sony amp, run a set of cables from the "front" signal out of that processor to an input on your preamp ( I use one titled Video ). Set the preamp to a predetermined volume and when watching movies, return the volume to the same place each time. You will no doubt have to re calibrate your surround system when these changes are made, to determine the correct volume setting for each speaker.

When the preamp drives the ProAc's selected to that input, you are feeding them the AV signal. Selecting another input (CD, LP) will provide regular two channel listening without having to move any wires.
