Speaker cable matching for home theater and music

My system does double duty in Home Theater and for 2 channel music listening. It's all Cary solid state home theater gear.

I've been experimenting with speaker cable and purchased a pair of Cardas Quad 5C for my mains that it looks like I'll stay with. The problem is that the front L&R that sound so well with music now, sound unmatched for multichannel, movies etc.

I don't want to spend the money making 25 foot runs to each surround with this premium (read pricey) cable. So I need some advice.

I assume the thing to do is get a short run of the same Quadlink for the center speaker, and get some Cardas bulk wire for the surrounds. But I just wonder if I wouldn't have to match the speaker wire exactly to get a seamless sound. Anyone?
