Depends on the drivers used in the speakers. Dynaudio and Scan Speak drivers take a REAL long time (sometimes months) to sound their best, but start sounding good after a couple of weeks. Best thing to use is a warble tone cd, second best is white noise from a tuner, cranked up if practicable. Third best - boom and sizzle rock and roll.
