speaker break in time or ?

I see a lot of post's about break in for speakers / new crossover caps ect. I wonder if it is more to do with breaking in the the owner of said eq. I do think that passive parts do have a sound to them but have to question the talk of 10's or 100's of hours of break in time. I would think 2 to 5 hours would be all that is needed to get 95 % of there sound and for speaker drivers a hour or two. I think that the sound changes many here are do to getting the ear brain / user to adjust to the new sound kind of a sorting out thing after living with a speaker a long time.Many say they here new things that were not there before but is this a sorting out thing in the ear /brain / user more than the speaker changing over 100's of hours. I do belive in upgrading parts like in crossovers as I have done to My speakers. I like the sound of My speakers before the upgrade new resistors , coils and caps all North Creek parts and like them a lot after the upgrade. I here new things but I think break in of parts has little to do with it after the first few hours and more to do with getting the mind to adjust to somthing new takes some time. I think that new parts do have a sound some better some not so good but all different from what was in the speakers before so My thought is the adjustment comes from the mind over time not the long break in time of parts. Well this is just Me rambling on any thoughts from you Audiogoners ? Have you ever thought about the new sppeakers you just took home they sound great but over time you start to find a little fault here and there a touch of hardness or a little grain in the tweeters is that break in or is that training your mind to the sound.
