Speaker and amp help

Hi I was hoping for some expert advice on creating a home theater. I currently have a pair of infinity kappa 8.1 speakers rated at 6ohm with a need for 300 watts per channel. I had asked awhile back about a good amp for these and received excellent advice so I'm back for more advice.

Could someone tell me what my best bet for surrounds would be? I have seen infinity kappa surrounds...on this site...but was wondering how a pair of kappa 7.1 would work. Also I would like to know if two multichannel amps would be my best bet in this situation? I was thinking something with 5 channels 200 watts per channel and then perhaps 4 channel 100 watts per channel to bi amp all four of these speakers and a kappa center. Lastly because these are 6 ohm should I be looking at only 4ohm amps?

Sorry about the insane amount of questions and thanks in advance.

Hi I was told that these were amp killers and without at least 300 watts the speakers wouldn't be able to perform to their best. As you can tell I know very little about home audio and am only able to do "as I'm told" so if this isn't necessary PLEASE correct me. Thanks

Thanks Tpreaves for the quick responses!!! What would you recommend for amplification, bi amp? Power? Thanks.
Personaly,I would not make it any more complicated than it has to be.I firmly believe in the K.I.S.S.(keep it simple stupid) theory. There are also folks who think "the more the better".You have to choose which way you want to go.Good luck.
