sound of new CJ vs AR tube preamps?

Is sound of Conrad Johnson preamps like 17LS more neutral or warm sounding compared to Audio Research preamps like LS/SP 14,15, 16?

Its a bit rolled off on the top and bottom but does have nice midrange. I would say the 17LS strives to more musical than accurate. Cmach
