Sony SCD-C2000ES vs Marantz SA-8001

I have just purchased a Sony SCD-C2000ES to replace my dead Sony CDP-CE375. I would like some feed back on this player and the Marantz. So far the Sony sounds good on CD and great on SACD. Would the Marantz be worth the extra $500 in sound quality? I am using with my Denon PMA-2000IVR and Onix Reference 1 monitor speakers. Anyone have experience with both of these SACD/CD players?
