Yes, I recently heard a direct comparison at a dealer between the Lumina V and the Sonetto VIII. This demo was in the same room and same system. They were being driven by a 350 wpc MICHI integrated amp. After playing a number of different genres of music, I have to say, the Lumina does not give up all that much to the Sonetto. I’m not sure that the Lumina didn’t actually go deeper in the bass than the Sonetto VIII did. The vocals may have been a bit more forward and pure sounding on the Lumina, but that is a matter of individual preference. Both sounded very good and enjoyable. With its combination of audio performance and great looks, the Lumina V has to be a bargain, imo.
Sonus Faber Lumina V impressions? and which amp?
Good Day All,
I'm considering these speakers for a secondary two channel streaming system, can anybody detail their impressions if they have heard them?
I'll also need an integrated amp sub 2k-ish, was considering Hegel H95, NAD c700, Naim Unity and the newest version of the Bluesound Powernode
If could get a steal of a deal on a used amp I would consider that option combined with a Bluesound Node, some of the amps that come up for sale used often around me at good prices include Anthem 225, older Simaudio Moon stuff, and lots of different Music Fidelity pieces
as a final option, new Nait5si or Parasound 200
