Sonore sonic orbiter 2.9 SD card installation

Hi members...Does anyone know the full/complete proper "step-by step" procedure to swap out my 2.8 SD card to the latest 2.9 version? I have searched all over and am not seeing anything that describes a step by step protocol that will result in a problem-free installation without any issues. Besides powering off my uR, do I totally disconnect it? I have read quite a few people have had issues changing to the 2.9 version of the sonicorbiter software. Should all ancillary digital chain equipment also be disconnected? My 2.8 version is working perfectly but have noticed reviews that state upgrading to 2.9 gives considerably better performance in all functional and sonic aspects. Any detailed guidance will be greatly appreciated!.."MoonCrikit"
