So, I really like my Tukans and I really miss the next lower octaves..

Still love my Tukans, I isimply hear detail I'm not hearing they other systems. But I'm missing at least some low frequency. I don't need low 30s but 40s would be nice. Any suggestions of a... Comparable.. Listening signature with a little more bass? New or used, budget under $1000/ pair. I'm running 100/side integrated right now. Medium size living room, 24 x 18,  hardwood floors. Thank you.

Get a pair of powered subs. You need subs if you want the last bit of extension in the lowest frequencies.

A LOT of newer stand mounted speakers would fit the parameters you are looking for. The Tukans are an especially small speaker, and physics is physics...
A Stereophile review of your speaker notes it’s rising midrange response. Since that appeals to you, seek out other speakers that are notable for that trait.
I think subs would be very noticeable with the Tukans, since they only play into the 70 hz range.
