SmoothLan Regenerator from Stack Audio

I've been using this for about a week now, and I must say, I am incredibly impressed with the results. The difference it has made in my listening experience is remarkable, and I’m curious to know if others have experienced similar improvements in their setups.

From my observations, the overall sound quality has opened up dramatically, revealing a level of clarity and transparency in my music that I previously thought was only achievable with high-resolution CDs. The depth and richness of the audio have noticeably improved, making the listening experience far more immersive and engaging.

I’ve tested the Regenerator with both a Lyngdorf 1120 (streamer/amp) and a WiiM Pro streamer, and in both cases, the improvements were immediately apparent. Minute details that were once buried in the mix have now become clearly audible—such as the delicate brushes on a snare drum or the subtle layering of backing vocals, which seemed to be missing before incorporating the SmoothLan into my system.

Perhaps the most striking enhancement is the expansion of the soundstage. The spatial presentation of the music has grown considerably, creating a much wider and more three-dimensional sound field. Instruments and vocals are now more precisely positioned, adding an impressive sense of depth and realism that was previously lacking.

Overall, this has been a game-changer for my system, and I’m eager to hear if others have had a similar experience.

@zlone Thank you, that is interesting. I agree sometimes you never know what might influence the sound. Even when it isn't exactly logical.

v-fi. Yes, it's the same with fuses and power cables, isn't it? By the way, there's now a 60-day money-back guarantee on the Stack stuff. I won't need it, though—it just helps put your mind at ease, I think.

I am still very much impressed with the Regenerator. Others with same or different opinions?  Best Kk12

Like the 60 day money back so this week I grabbed a B grade SmoothLAN from fleabay, got it yesterday and within 20 seconds I knew it wasn't going back. How the hell does this small but heavy passive device do what it does to the music from my ZeniTH mk3, colour me VERY impressed. I will definitely be getting the SmoothLAN Regen model once my house sale goes through, as all my ££s are tied to the sale at the moment.

I couldn't wait, could I.

A black B Grade SL Regenerator turned up on eBay this week (£125 saving on rrp) so grabbed it. Is the SLR better than the SL? Yes, though from cold and with only 2 hrs on the clock, the jump from SL to SLR isn't as big as nothing to SL. I will leave it in until I have 100ish hrs on it then swap back and forth, as I'm sure, being an active device it will improve over time and once the clock temp has stabilised.

Initial thoughts at this early stage are better soundstage & drive, plus more micro detail, and definitely worth its rrp.
