Sim Audio Monn I-5 vs VTL IT-85

Hi There:
would appreciate input or experiences on how these two integrateds sonic signature would compare againts each other,i currently have the moon i-5 and really like it but would like to give tubes a try and the it-85 is the one i'm interested in(tried the tempest magnum and was not up to the task in my system)i'm looking for the same transparency, detailed and refine sound along w/the punchy bass of the i-5 but with the magic of tubes, here is my system.
SFT-1 TRANSPORT
RESOLUTION AUDIO QUANTUM DOUBLE DACS IN BALANCED CONFIGURATION
MOON I-5
PLATINUM AUDIO SOLOS(power hungry but the 70w p/c i-5 is able to handle fine)the it-85 is 80 w p/c but tubes
TAD POWER PURIFIER
YAMAMURA QUANTUM AND JPS P/C'S
OMEGA MIKRO IC'S
SYNERG RESEARC REF X-SERIES SPEAKER CABLES(BIWIRED)
thanks so much for any valuable input.

The Sim Audio is pretty harsh and nowhere as refined as most reputable tube gear out there. It's way overpriced in my opinion, but has a solid build nevertheless. It has a good resale value ( I sold mine) but for sonics...ouch! stay away if you can...unless you like your sound with a very sparkling presentation, overpowering, unnatural bass, and a thin soundstage...

i have a VTL IT85, and it's a great piece. The sound is big, controlled, powerful. I swapped out the preamp tubes with NOS bugle boy 7316, and Telefunken 802s, and it really made this integrated AWESOME. i would wholeheartedly recommend it. i upgraded to a VAC 70/70 mk3 amp and Supratek Syrah preamp, and the VTL is obviously not as good sounding, but man, it's pretty great considering the price.
