Shunyata Zitron ICs Anaconda vs Python

I like the whole Zitron line very much. But it takes some work to mix and match for the best SQ.

I may have been a bit unfair to the Zitron Cobra in my last post. It is a great power cord, with the timbral accuracy of the Anaconda. It is quick, images well and has a nice open top end.

The difference in my system is that the Anaconda brings you closer to the music with a bigger more detailed soundstage and fuller bass.

I just moved up from a Shunyata Zitron Cobra to Zitron Anaconda (used and broken in) and the difference is staggering. I haven't heard the Zitron Python, so I'm no help there.

I'm using a C19 1.75m to a 7-8 year old Hydra 8. From there power is mostly older Shunyata: Python CX (CJ preamp) and Python Helixes to the sources. One exception, is Kimber for the digital. A Pallaian PK10 to the DAC and PK Gold to the music server. I find that Kimber loves digital (or digital loves Kimber). Mainly Transparent Ultra and Super RCA's. Siltech 550 speaker wires.

Anyway, the Anaconda moves you up to the 5th row from the 20th. Everything is clearer and very musical. There's more bass and it's very well controlled. Top end more open with no harshness or grain of any kind. The background is silent and instruments sometimes jump out of the silence. All my vinyl and digital music is new again.

Last thought... It's ridiculous that after spending so much money on speakers and components that it should be necessary to spend thousands more on power cords. But what a difference!

The differences between the ZiTron Cobra and ZiTron Python are greater than the differences between the Python and the Anaconda.

As you move up the line there is not a difference in kinda as much as completeness. There are some differences in technology and the gauge changes. Each does employ the key ZiTron distortion reducing technology. Each level offers more of the positive benefits of the preceding set. Price-wise the Python is in the sweet spot, the most value for the dollar.

I was just going to create a new posting asking for differences between the Python and Cobra interconnects.

I have an XLR pair of Cobra along with Cobra speaker cables and I find the sound very neutral and detailed. I also have an RCA Audience Au24SE IC which I think I actually like better with the Cobra speaker cables than with the Cobra IC. I find the Audience has pretty much the same timbre and detail, but the music is a little fuller with a bit more depth and warmth which in my all solid state system I find more life like.

I was curious if the more $$ Python might offer a little more depth/warmth compared to the Cobra.

Basically, any feedback on the differences between the 3 Shunyata ZTRON models would be appreciated...
