Shovels and Rope-Wow Great new music

I check iTunes almost every week for their "free on iTunes" music. It's a great way to find some new bands and over the last few years I've discovered lots of good stuff and I've been disappointed by even more. This week's "free on iTunes" has a selection that I think is EXCEPTIONAL. If you like singer/songwriter, Americana, Alt-Country or any type of stripped down and emotional music, check out Birmingham from the Band-Shovels and Rope. Its from Shovels and Rope's new album-O' Be Joyful. The sample on iTunes is pretty good, but if you're "on the fence" download the whole song (it free right now) before passing judgement. The beginning and end of the track really pull it all together.

Let me know what you think. It won't be everyone's cup of tea as some people might not be able to make it past the "twang". But if you like singer/songwriter, Americana or alt-country you may be in for a treat.
