should I mod my Lavry DA-10?

I love the jitter control of my Lavry, but I suspect the switching power supply and output stage could be much improved. Detail is spectacular and it's plenty smooth, but in my system at least it lacks dynamic punch, authority in the bass, and doesn't give me the air and ease of some other source components I've heard. Sounds a bit like I've downgraded my amp to a lower-powered model, if that makes any sense. Any suggestions about whether to mod, and if so, *who* I should ask to do it?
