No, sometimes you use it. Grounding is a very idiosyncratic thing but if you have no hum leave it as it is. One of my tables is grounded and the other isn't.
Should I be using the grounding terminal?
My integrated amp has a grounding terminal which I am not using. Should I have a wire running from the terminal to a ground for any reason (no audible hum is present)? If so, please explain why. Is this terminal simply redundant to the ground on the power cable?
