Shanling CDP Volume Control

I am using a Shanling CD player in an active bi-amp configuration without a pre-amp. I'd like to get more volume out of the system without using a pre-amp. Has anyone heard of any modifications that can be done to the Shanling to help with this, or anything else that could help?
