Setting up my Denon 4306 to work with my LG CX & PS5. Its been years....

Setting up my Denon 4306 to work with my LG CX & PS5. Its been years since I payed any attention to audio systems. Completely lost.

  The speakers have been sitting in hibernation for years. Finally decided to take them out now that I have a much bigger space to work with. Tried doing PS5 via HDMI 2.1 to TV then optical from tv to 4306 with no luck. I'm also missing the remote for the receiver. In the process of trying to locate it. What would be the best way to tackle this setup. Do I need a new receiver can I get away with using my old one for now at least till I can buy a new one? Is the only issue here the receiver or are the speakers out dated as well? Thank you for the help!
