You might have to select the MF VDAC as your default audio device, in the sound control panel, but the re clock of the signal happens automatically.
Setting up lap top for best sound
I read an article in one of the print audio mags last night about the basics of digital music using a computer for the source. I am using a windows lap top to down load files and rip CDs. The software I use is Foobar. the connection is USB out to a Musical Fidelity VDacII. The article said that you should have it set up so the DAC clock is used and not the computer's. Does this happen automatically when you plug in the DAC to the USB port or do you have to change some settings in the computer?
