Servicing vintage cassette deck: Harman Kardon CD-491
Looking for someone qualified who services vintage cassette decks....the H/K CD-491 was a Nak Dragon-era deck (not that it competed directly), a solid machine that sounded great in it’s day. (Eye rolls & sneers ok).
I was going to sell it (resale value was pretty decent last I checked), but decided to possibly keep & service it, to see if any of those hundreds of old mixed tapes and live Dead show tapes bring back memories. If not, I’ll sell it, lol.
I know there are a small number of extremely capable service techs on these old decks; I’m just not sure who they are. Feel free to reply on forum or direct-message me via the forum.
