Sequerra info needed

Help!!!!! Does anyone know if Dick Sequerra ever "doped" his speaker drivers, perhaps in the mid 90s? I have a pair of very unusual Met 7.7 MK2 that have a black cabinet like the MK1 and doped drivers. These speakers look like a SMALLER Met 7 MK1 but say MK2 on the back. They sound amazing, but I am really confused as to what they are. PLEASE HELP!
