Searching for Amps/Pre for Martin Logan ESL 9

Hi, I am a newbie, so be gentle :) Current setup: ML ESL 9's (end game speakers).  Anthem MRX 740 with ML centre (ESL C). TT: Clearaudio Concept (with MC). Happy with all of that - except want to upgrade my stereo experience. Require: Pre-amp (with HT bypass), power amp to drive LF & RF. Room - multi-functional lounge / open plan dining room. So, I like transparency. Important constraints - form-factor (limited space on my rack), so small foot print for equipment is very important. Current shortlist (no specific order): Benchmark AHB2 & LA4 or SPL s800 and SPL Elector. Both the pre-maps provide HT by-pass. Main problem - I cannot do a test at home OR listen at a dealer. One draw back of living on Abu Dhabi!
