You wouldn’t need so many if you would buy one good unit instead of 10 cheap units. First- the price of my 12 is way more less than Acoustic revive or even of some others... Second- i use them modified and cabled with other devices of my own.... Third- i am pretty sure that the effect of a costly one is not stronger than my 12 modified and connected... Anyway even if it is more powerful, i like what i have for a fraction of the price... Four- How do people know that they will hear the effect if their audio system and room is not enough under controls already and if their noise level is too high? i dont want to advise people to throw their money out.... Five- your argument remind me of the association of the quality of gear with his price.... It is true sometimes but not always.... My system cost peanuts and i dont give a damn about ANY other one at ANY price...It is not the best system at all but it work at his best...It is ok for me....The piano is in my room already with natural timbre then i dont need to throw money.... Overall, my experience was initial enthusiasm followed by slowly diminishing positive results. In the end, another failed tweak. Still, I can imagine sr’s could be a positive in some systems and rooms, not a bad tweak by any means. I can say the samething with my S.G. I correct that by putting on them for a more balanced effect my "golden plate" (shungite plate+copper tape on the external side) + an Herkimer Diamond... The effect is more natural with that than without.... Then what you experienced dont surprize me at all... S.G. dont work at all on the noise floor of the house/room/ and gear... But the unambiguous perception the audible effects of the S.G. ask for a minimally not too high noise floor... It is the reason why many people did not hear any audible effects.... The noise floor of a house filled with appliances, and in an acoustically untreated room with gear with no mechanical vibrations controls means nothing coul be perceived of this subtle but very real effect.... |
These devices don’t do anything for your audio gear or room, they make the person more in tune with the frequency of the earth. Why not the 2 possibilities, an effect on the brain and a physical effect in the electrcal grid of the room? If you read my post you will know that anyone can make an experiment i devised with the S.G. that is very objective with 3 possibilities and different coherent repeatable results: Shungite ( compression of the sound), Herkimer diamond (decompression of the sounds) and the 2 together (more balanced audible effect) on top of the S.G. caps...This prove a physical effect... The costly one works better, doesn’t put out a square wave looks nicer and you only need one in your audio room not a bunch of them like the cheap ones. In the 2 cases it was not always ideal musically but when i added the 2 together there is a balancing very optimal musical effect... By the way a simple experiment i made numerous time sometimes forgetting to put some part of my S.G. grid ON:
I disconnected few minutes ago 9 of my 12 S.G. : results: collapse of the " envelopment listener sphere" potential diameter to a very smaller or less powerful one... It is the way how the sound can be sitting in our face litterally and powerfully...It is not related to volume deafening listening by the way even if some minimal volume is required...
I decide to put them ON again... Results : Regaining immediately the listener envelopment sphere normal diameter and power...
You can conclude to "placebo", but it will be an easy erroneous conclusion, because placebo work for small borderline audible change, not for the perceptive collapse of the listener envelopment potential sphere, if you experience one to begins with and if you know what this concept acoustically means anyway to begins with....
It is not soundstage which is about the way sound go out of the space between speakers and the way each instruments is posit in 3 dimensions in perceived space...Envelopment listener potential sphere diameter or power, is not the same experience nor the same concept...Imagine a voice coming immediately from your left ears but the speakers are in front of you? Or the same voice coming from the back of your head? And the speakers are in front of you....This is listener envelopment sphere,,, I gain it way better with my Helmholtz mechanical equalizer completed but i gain it mostly from my S.G. connected grid.... However Mahgister is right in saying that you can make improvements and not hear anything because you have not lowered the noise floor enough.
Start with the room and speaker interactions such as speakers matching the room and position within the room. Controlling room response with treatments (or in my case just normal furnishings and Lyngdorf room perfect). Then get the power supply and earthing of the system right.
Once you have these then you can start to hear improvements from resonance and vibrations of your system. I suspect the s.gs start to become "audible" at this point too and this is also where good cabelling and fuses (not necessarily expensive) starts to make more audible differences.
I think this is pretty much in line with Mahgister’s embeddings experiences. Thanks for your golden post... I like to be understood.... The art of the audiophile is putting a system together that is cohesive and I for one would love to hear Mahgister’s system I’m sure it does sound very good. Right.... i will add something rarely understood... When we tune our SMALL room using our own ears, we tune it and we install materials, absorbent, reflective, diffusive, for our OWN specific ears to a specific speakers...The same is true when i add Helmholtz tubes and pipes grid... It is not absolute perfect sound for ALL ears but for ours.... The structure and hearing capacity of all listeners are completely different in the fine tuning of acoustic... Then no system is perfect save for his owner...The only exception is large room entirely created with the most refined acoustic science and at very high price with great results for sure....Mike Lavigne ideal room for example...His room is better than mine and no proof is necessary...But the fact that i can live happily with mine speak volume about acoustic powerful impact unbeknownst to most who invest in gear upgrading because it is more EASY than install room controls... Anyway the goal and truth did not change: controls of the working three dimensions of any system are more important than the system itself... It is the reason why i smile to ANY superior system compared to mine.... The gulf between the 2 are no more an ocean.... 😊 When piano is in the room with a relatively natural timbre for your ears, is it wise to invest money you dont have for a "little" more? I can listen to a brass orchestra distinguishing clearly each timbre and they filled the room and are not between the 2 speakers at all... Moreover, if one considers what he writes about music it is clear that he is an extremely astute and insightful listener and, more importantly, music lover; if passionately exuberant. The link between language and musical skills is well documented. Could you please elaborate and substantiate - how many 7 figure (currency of denomination?) systems have you listened to and where, and what components were they comprised of? Any supporting evidence you can cite would be extremely helpful to both the specific case you are litigating in this thread about Schumann generators, but even more generally, would help advance the views and recommendations you espouse at large when it comes to the pursuit of sonic primacy. You misread my intention or perhaps i was not communicating them adequately... I NEVER affirm that my system is BETTER than a 7 figures system "per se"... I am not stupid...Affirming so will be stupid... I only say that when i listened to youtube some 7 figures system, at least at 2 different memorable occasions, that reveal EVEN through the limitations of mine the limit of the room where they worked...Any experienced acoustician already know that a good system in a bad room could sound bad.... I verify this by accident many times listening youtube... You cannot assess anything on youtube BUT harshness and unnatural timbre sometimes is truly there and not in my system testing with the same files... I affirm that i was so glad with mine than i prefered mine....this is my truth... BUT i dont say this in relation with the use of my Schumann generators at all... I use 1 hundred resonators, with many connections in my room, with Helmholtz tubes and pipes,and bottles with near 45 "golden plates" all along my electrical grid with many other devices....I even use ionizers with great success.... Anyway it cost almost nothing to buy 2 cheap one...And having fun instead of mocking other intelligent human beings more investigative than us or less opinionated about what is or what is not "science"....

I have an all Ayre system.....need nothing better. One who is really an audiophile will experiment instead of stamping feet decrying "impossible" I concur totally with your post... My Sansui AU 7700 is a legendary good vintage, my Dac is a miracle at peanut costs, and my speakers are very good one: Mission Cyrus 781... My question few years ago was why i dont love my very well chosen components? The answer came clearly to my mind in the last 3 or 2 years slowly...With experiments... My system so good it was , has never been installed rightfully in his 3 working embeddings dimensions...Mechanical, electrical and acoustical... It is not surprizing that i was not in love with it like i am now....I has never listen to it working at his optimal potential like most people here their own system unbeknownst to them... I described all my creations in my 23 pages solitary thread for 2 years; "miracles in Audio".... This was my journey... If i succeeded anybody can at NO cost or at very low one....The advantage i have was an audio room a room where i could plan my experiments that help a lot... What is unsensical is confusing a complex apparatus to measure the real earth resonance of Schumann, with measuring a possible change in db coming from speakers... bemused has NEVER proposed to measure the Schumann resonance from speakers... He as suggested a debatable process experiment to measure a possible change in frequencies energy coming from the speakers when a cheap chinese device is in the room...... That is my point... What is important to us should be whether or not these are actual audio devices that change the sound, just like acoustic panels and bass traps do, vibration control devices do, equalizers do, DBXs & 3BXs (remember those) or are they some type of biological influencer like the temperature or humidity of the room, even smells or lighting in the room Do you read my post? TRY AN EXPERIMENT: put a piece of shungite on it: the sound will be compressed... Put an herkimer diamond: the sound will be decompressed... Put the 2 together you will have a balanced effect... This argument is all over the place. One minute its effect of EM radiation from devices like this and transformers on electronic circuits, next its the same device producing sound not EMR that you will detect on a sound meter.

I speculate that DACs can be improved because the resonances may influence the dither in a way to make "uncertainty" more certain.
That is to say the converter’s resolution improves. Bits that were in the "gray" area are now defined to be a "0" or a "1". What was unclear in the data now becomes clear and strengthened after applying resonance. Very clear .... Thanks what a breeze to read coherent posts.... |
