Rotel RDV 1050 vs RCD 1072

I upgraded my system and wondering if it is worth trading the convenience of having the dual function of the RDV for the dedicated RCD 1072. In another thread a reviewer reported no appreciable difference between his RCC 1055 and the RCD 1072 and I hope to avoid a similar useless switching out.
