Just received "The Tchaikowsky Album", London 289 455 810-2
2 CD's. Wall to wall chestnuts but music even headbangers might like. Mostly impassioned performances by the Chicago and Solti. Oh those swinging brass sections.1812, Romeo Juliet (my alltime fav) Swan lake, The Nutcracker (yeah, the music from Fantasia for you drogistas) and Symph. 6. looks to have been recorded in 1977 and 87, sounds a little veiled but imaging and dynamics are first class.
