Walter, I have not heard his new release yet. His older things are wonderful like "Shoot Out The Lights" and "Pour Down Like Silver". Things of the last dozen years or so are great also. Few can turn a phrase like Thompson. Like "She was a rare thing,as fine as a bee's wing",and a couple of lines in the song about the 1952 Vincent Lightning motorcycle conjure great images. I was fortunate enough to see him solo about '92 in a very small club. He was perfect in that setting. He does an unusual thing, he uses MUSTARD to sooth his tired throat and did so on stage.Wonderful, interesting, subtle guitar work and has a very dry sense of humor, which was fun to boot. Happy Listening, Lee
