Revox A77 Mk IV Reel to Reel

Hi everyone, I'm new to audiogon, haven't posted or listed an item yet. I have a Revox reel to reel that I was considering selling either here or on Reverb.com. I used eBay for a number of years, with pretty good luck selling vintage audio, particularly receivers, turntables and reel to reel decks from popular brands like Pioneer, Sansui and Marantz. I could count on good sales if I continued to sell those types of things, but I was told by a few people I know who are into audiophile items that Audiogon and Reverb are better places to sell for two good reasons:
1) There is a community that is as passionate as I am about music and  the best ways to listen to it and:
2) The fee and pay structure is less expensive and quicker as far as receipt of payment.

If anyone here has any input on the matter I would appreciate it!

Much larger exposure and possible buyers. I have sold several Pioneer RT-909 & Pioneer RT-707 in very good operational condition and have parted out several too. Been very pleased with all the results.
Ebay might give more exposure, but I'm not going back. I don't like their policies and fees are ultra high. If you're looking to sell quick and don't care if you get ripped off by dishonest buyers, then ebay. If you're looking to keep $$ and want people that will appreciate your equipment, then Audiogon or Reverb definitely. I'm never in a big hurry to sell my stuff.
I have been selling on eBay since 1999, have over 7,000 transactions and never had a problem like fiesta mentioned.
Also, AudioGon is good, however there is not much support for R2R or any tape format here, You might want to ask your question over on AA, Tape Heads.

I hear you dill, I've had overwhelming good experience there, just want to branch out & explore, find some dependable venues while I'm not in a hurry, in case Rome collapses someday 😉
Also thanks dill for the heads up about tape gear. Will check em out!
I know you didn't mean Alcoholics Anonymous! Or did you?
