They moved the motor and switch locations. Switch looks different also. And possibly new feet, hopefully still adjustable or hopefully you can get the original adjustable original model ones if needed.

Wonder which version sounds better? Anyone heard them side by side yet?

Looks like a different tonearm wire plug and the mat is different from what I have.

The mat definitely looks different. Does the platter look not as thick? The feet are very different. I was told by VPI that the new feet are adjustable and the motor / pulley change was around having a universal switching power supply from VPI.

My big concerns are around which feet and mat perform better and if the platter thickness changed, since I am in the market for one.
