Review: Sonic Precision Ion Speaker cable

I was looking for a low cost high definition bi-wire cables for my new home theater system. I stumbled upon the Sonic Precision Ion cables at the Pure Note site. I currently use Pure Note Epsilon Reference cables in my high-end audio system.
I spoke with John Smith of Pure Note about the new Ion cables. Apparently, they have collaborated with Eric Fleming an ex-NASA engineer who has developed a new rhodium-copper alloy. This alloy compares with gold-silver alloys found in the Siltech cables but at a much lower cost. They have also developed a new poly-ether transparent cable jacket and use WBT Topline connectors.
I am one of the first customers to receive these new speaker cables. I only have 24 hours on them and I am impressed. My HT components are still in transit so I am comparing them to my Pure Note Epsilon Ref. Cables. These cables are a bit warmer but not that far off from the Pure Notes. Very detailed with good focus. The neat quad jacket makes for a very compact bi-wire cable and my wife loves the futuristic appearance. The best part is their price/performance/quality which is quite competitive. As a biwire cable they are about one-third the price of the Epsilon and less bulky. The connectors are the best, WBT spades, no cheap crimped ones as found in cables in this price range. Can't wait for the interconnects when they are available!
