Review: Rhino Cable Analog Interconnect Interconnect

Category: Cables

Well, what can I say? These cables are quite a nice buy for a budget system. I heard about these from a friend who has been using them for years with his NAD system. Whenever I am upgrading my system, I always find myself spending too little or too much on cables. It has always been my theory that cables can not make a bad system sound good, only a good system sound bad.

Looks/Build Quality

I must say, this is quite a fine looking cable. The vampire connectors are sturdy, and the cable feels shielded and durable. Under the connector is quite a nice solder job as well. They look like they cost 30$ to make.

Sound

These cables use Belden 89259 OFHC wires which have a bare copper center conductor. And pure copper RFI shielding. The sound? They sure have monster cable beat...and the sound is as good, if not better than the Kimber PBJ interconnect. The sound is smooth and neutral. I'm suprised to find a cable that sounds this transparent and flat for this price.

Basically, If you have a nice system, and are considering cables that do not cost an arm and a leg, these are the way to go.
