Riaa, something I found interesting with the Carreras was how incredibly great they sounded in my listening room with some entry level equipment! I do have close to $1500 in room treatments and close to $3000 in cables so that really helps. My $400 speaker stands didn’t hurt either. I’m also pretty ocd when it comes to dialing in speakers with regards to placement.

I’ve owned set-ups with $6,000 front ends paired with other speakers that retailed for $3500 that didn’t sound as good as the Carreras with my Anthem I225 and Bluesound Node 2i.

I’m sure the Carreras sound even better with high end front ends driving them! How could they not? I haven’t come across any speakers that sound worse when they are being driven by higher end components!

There are many glowing reviews of the Carreras online and I’m sure some of those reviewers had higher end front ends than I do.

If you are interested in possibly buying the Carreras, I think Fritz would send you a pair for an in home demo so you could see how they sound with your set-up!
