Review: Bryston BP-20 Preamplifier
Category: Preamps
I liked the BP-20 a lot. It was a huge improvement over the preamp stage of the Arcam integrated I was using before, as it should be, I guess. The BP-20 offered a great soundstage, oodles of detail and was very transparent. I was very happy with the purchase. Also, the preamp has plenty of inputs and outputs and offered balanced connections too. I upgraded to the Line 3, which was a good step above the bryston in quality, but again, to be expected for the price difference. Overall, I found the BP20 a very effective preamp for the price, and I find preamps play a central role in the quality of a sytem - not to be skimped on. Recommended.
