Somehow the post into which you insert the speaker wire broke off. Mag sent replacements but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to remove the back plate to get access. Would anyone know how to do this?
If the terminal plate is the original: there should be screws in the terminal plate's four corners. If not: color me baffled! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I’ve seen Magnepan’s MG 3.6 / 3.6/R (with screws holding the terminal plate), but- have never seen, or heard of, a model 3.6a. Can’t help you there! Have the socks (perhaps) been replaced and the terminal plate, partially covered? Speakers/crossovers, modified?
I’ve owned their SMGa, MMG, MG12/qr, 1.7i models (all great for home theater) and thought I’d seen everything else Magnepan manufactured, over the past forty-some years. All had small, round head, Phillips wood screws; holding the terminal plate in place. What model are your Maggies?
