Replacement tweeters Audio Physic Avanti 2

After a flood from water heater, I noticed that one of the workman and damaged the metal dome tweeter on my Avanti II(despite my request that I alone move them).
The original dealer contacted AP, and they have a replacement tweeter that was used on a later model. AP stated it would be an upgrade as well. I found one article on the new tweeter, and it said it had a greater range, and that a different crossover was used. I'm having these tweeters installed, but am concerned about the impact of having the original crossover. Anyone familiar with this?
