Removal of arm base

Can anyone tell me how to remove the armbase from a VPI JMW-10 assembly from the armboard? There are three small allen-head bolts that must be removed, but they are partially covered up by part of the armbase assembly. I have sold the arm and cant see how to remove the base, and dont want to wreck it trying. Any advice is appreciated. email Teleguy465@aol.com Thanks
