Remarkable Multichannel Test Signal

A Demo/Sampler/Test DVD-A disc from MDG, "Breakthrough into a New Dimension" has one cut (track 38) which is a solo violin superbly recorded with exactly the same signal (Mono)in four channels. If your speakers are matched with respect to SPL, Distance (delay compensated), and tonal characteristics, the sound will seem to come from exactly the listener's location. And does it ever! I could swear that the violin is under my own chin!

This is a very effective test. If you don't get the intended result you haven't finished setting up your system. Keep tweeking.
