Having owned both, Carbon specials are much better than 812s. I cannot say it is because of amp or driver- but definitely fast and more oomph. It has more volume (than 812) as well. It is a tougher call between Carbon special and 212SX...
REL Carbon Special Vs S/812
Hi folks....i was trying to see if anyone has experience with the REL Carbon Specials and S/812.
Both are 12", the limited edition carbon is 1000 watts vs 800 watts on the S/812. The price difference however is a large diff +$1100. I mean is the difference with the Carbon specials so much that it is better to get it compared to the S/812? The carbon's only come in black vs black/white options for the S/812.
In terms of bass speed is there any difference among them ? Or is it just that carbon is +200Watts more than S/812.
