Rega Planet - Strange Problem...

Hello Everyone,

About a month ago, I bought an original Rega Planet off the 'Gon. The first 3 weeks with it were great. For the last week or so, it's developed an annoying habit which isn't going away!

When I place the CD in the player, and it loads up, there's a brief "ZAP", or static-like, sizzling kind of noise. When I press play, I get the same noise. If I skip from track to track, I get the same problem for at least half the tracks (going backwards or forwards). Same thing happens with the remote or without.

I've tried connecting it to a different input on my Audio Refinement integrated, and it doesn't make any difference. Interconnects are Silver Sonic, so I don't think that's an issue. Nothing has changed or moved in my system.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated!
