Recommended power cords for a Jadis DA88s

I have recently acquired this amp as a used item from a dealer in the UK. The amp is in excellent condition and sounds fantastic. I am using an inefficient set of speakers (Gradient Revolutions) and needed the extra power. The unit did not come with a mains lead and I am using a spare no-brand cord. Can anyone recommend a sensible power cord that works well with Jadis? I have seen a recent write up for Supra LoRad cables (2.5) on Positive Feedback that was intriguing. As a cost saving (the Jadis purchase was a bit of a stretch) I am tempted to go the LoRad route and upgrade plugs/connectors over time.
Any ideas welcomed including alternatives to the mains cable upgrade. I see some audiogoners recommend upgrading the input valves.
