Recommendations for tube preamp (Emotive Audio Sira) repair in the Raleigh/Durham NC area?

My apologies if this is posted to the wrong section!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop or individual who may be able to help repair an all-tube preamp, in or around the RTP region of NC?

I have an older Emotive Audio Sira preamp, and (it seems) a couple of the tubes have stopped receiving power. My limited knowledge and googling seems to indicate that this might be a problem with a shorted filament or possibly a loose wire.

I've reached out to Fred at Emotive but its been over a decade since I've spoken with him, and have no idea if he's even still active or would be a resource. While I wait to (hopefully) hear back from him, I'm looking into other, more local options.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

When you say tubes have "stopped receiving power" do you mean they are dead or not passing signal? Have you tried replacing these tubes?

@jond - thanks for the reply! Sorry for not being clear.

I meant that several of the tubes (the main 5687, and 2 of the 5651s and two of the 6ag5s) are not lighting up at all. I’ve tried replacing *all* of the tubes with two different spare sets that I have, but to my disappointment that didn’t make a difference.

Quick update here in case anyone comes across this thread mentioning Emotive Audio and/or the Sira preamp.

Fred at Emotive Audio got back to me in less than 24 hours, and was incredibly helpful and accommodating in arranging to have the amp looked at. So, that’s the route I’m going. He really is a pleasure to work with, and cares deeply about the products he builds - even older ones like mine.

Ah ok then it's definitely not a bad tube. I would imagine you will hear back from Fred Volz I know Emotive is still in business. I don't know any techs in NC but if you can't find one a couple not too far away recs:

Musical Technology in VA.

Deja Vu Audio in VA.

MT is a great repair shop and DV is a retail store that builds their one tube amps and I'm sure could fix yours.
