Recommend a DAC based on Analog Devices?

I'm interested in the sound of the classic, sought after Analog Devices chips from last century.

Can anyone recommend one they like? Either a kit or finished product.

thanks in advance

@hasmarto This looks pretty interesting. But poor craftsmanship. Is it from China? It could be modded for sure.

The AD1865 is what I am most curious about. I can't afford the Audio Note Fifth Element lol.

@jmeyers

Bricasti uses Analog Devices chips for CPU not conversion. I'm talking about Analog Devices NOS DAC chips like 1865. But I'm not an expert on them (yet).

I found out that Abbas Audio sells a new DAC with the Analog Devices chip. He said he used to dislike it, but finally found a way to make it sound nice and non-fatiguing.

It’s not expensive, but the reviews of his gear seem mixed. Not sure why, they seem like they would be really good sounding.

@iseland

truthfully, this is correct. I have modded DACs and built power supplies and discovered so. But I was going to look at the topology and parts of suggestions for AD DACs and decide if they were worth going into.
