re-wire a music hall tonearm?

The leads on my Music Hall MMF 5 have always seemed exceptionally flimsy and I've broken off nearly ever clip over the last few years. I was getting ready to re-solder and started to think, is it worth it to try and re-wire this arm? would better tonearm wire be wort the cost and trouble? any thoughts or experience out there?
