All I can say is that in my system the 128's soundstage is as wide and deep as I've heard my speakers produce. This is compared to my Modwright Sony 999ES which is no slouch as a player. It doesn't give up or lack much of anything by comparison. It has been a great purchase in my setup and I'm really happy with its performance.
