Ray Samuels Intruder

I was looking at this am for a set of Beyerdynamic DT 880s 250 headphones. The USB will allow for better sound quality (bypassing the headphone jack, or so I am told)and it seems to have a lot of juice. Is this the best option for the price? $700.00 Or is there something just as good for less. I know Pico has one with a usb but it will be a few weeks until he has more.
