"Heartache" Lyrics Help

We're sitting around the table after dinner and some wine trying to find a song my father is remembering... almost.
He thought it might be Kay Starr but... anyway, the lryics go: "heartache, heartache, my loving you meant only heartache. Your kiss was such a sacred thing..." etc.

Anybody out there know this song and who did it? We came up blank on the web search.
