Questions for Shindo preamp owners

Hi Folks,

Need your help.

I’m quite interested the Shindo Giscours and would like to pair it with my Wavac EC-300B power amp. Problem is Shindo Giscours only has XLR output whereas the Wavac EC-300B only has RCA input.

A friend has suggested a Shindo Silver XLR to RCA interconnect cable. My questions are:

1. Would this cable degrade sound quality?

2. Would this cable reduce the gain, making it harder for the Giscours to derives the Wavac EC-300B?

3. Is it common for Shindo preamp users to use such a cable, especially given that some of the Shindo power amps only have RCA input. How would they connect their Giscours/Vosne Romanee(XLR output only) to their RCA only Shindo amps?

Many thanks in advance.

That combo would likely be wonderful!  Wavac amps are sweet.  Just make sure that the impedance is compatible - it ought to be.  Shindo pre/power amp users connect with the XLR to RCA cable Shindo makes for just this purpose. My Vosne Romanee to Haut Brion uses this cable.
