Qualio IQ owners, still happy?

I'd like to hear from current or former owners of these speakers. Also anyone who has had an audition of them. What do you think? These are on my radar.

@wig

Wow 2-3 months for break-in at my age? :)

I do have to admit I'm very conflicted on this because of complications with swapping out my main speakers. Several issues involved to deal with. It sure was a simpler process all the way around 50 years ago if memory serves.

Thanks very much Wig for your impressions, I find it helpful.

Be safe,

At that time I was using my 300b monoblocks but you'll hear a big difference after 400+ hours 😁

@wig

I have the regular Qualio's too. Almost a year. really like them.

One clarification: what do you mean by "absorption behind the speakers"?

as an update- retired the Axxess L3- trying to sell them. Have given them to a dealer to sell. Listen to the IQs via the Gato 150, alternating between the Thorens TD1500/Cambridge Audio Alva ST. Streaming continues via the DMP A6.

I'm using GIK 244 bass/absorption panels on the front wall and 4 feet behind my Qualio's. These controls front wall reflections by absorbing some of the radiated sound, giving you a more expansive soundstage and tighter image focus.
