Problems with Amazon HD music streaming (HD / UHD icons not showing during playback)

Hi everyone,
Spent 3 hours on the phone today with Amazon Music Support.  It started with a simple call to verify trial periods and bundling pricing for Prime members with unlimited music streaming.  Once that was confirmed and I signed up for HD music on my new 4K Fire TV, I asked the rep how can I confirm I am getting HD / UHD streams.  They answered back "there should be a HD / UHD icon during playback on the songs detail screen".  Well, I did not see any on my iPhone HD enabled Amazon streaming app or on the Amazon Music streaming app on my Fire TV.  Does everyone see these notification icons during playback?  Spent the other 2.5 hours troubleshooting, reinstalling, rebooting, un-registering, re-registering and finally getting Amazon devs involved to research device logs from my iPhone and Fire TV pendant.  It didn't seem like the Amazon Music Tech Support received training, even with the higher / more senior techs.
Can someone describe to me or maybe reference a URL with what the HD / UHD icons look like?

And if that was the case, it would be a horrible implementation, said the fellow software engineer.

It's not in a menu.  With my Android phone, some album tiles do not have a HD indicator, but when you select an album and it starts playing, then the HD indicator appears.
I have the same problem and also went on a hopeless chat with Amazon agent (bot.?). you know, "delete cache" reinstall, etc. nothing. maybe it's the software updates on. y oneplus 7t pro... it was showing up to a week ago.
aha! I figured it out! you have to go to your "profile" and check your subscription status. in my case, I got demoted when I went to the family plan. funny thing is that when I clicked on the "upgrade" button, it went from $14 to $7 while still in the family plan. now the status icon reappeared. so check your subscription status.
