If they are foam surrounds on the drivers then maybe.. Rubber should not really ever have a problem, unless they dry out, but I have seen people use a type of armorall product and refresh them like brand new with no downfall. Other than that leave em' alone, unless you want to put far superior capacitors into the crossover circuit, not only would this ensure the caps are not dying which they can slightly from my understanding over the years (go out of spec.) or whatever, but it is also a credible sound upgrade.. Something like cardas golden ratio caps, Sonicap, Mundorf.. etc.. Are pretty much guaranteed to be better than what is in there stock.
Proac Response 2.5 - How long will they last?
I have a ten year old pair of Proac Response 2.5's.
While they still sound great I wonder how long they will last until I have to do something to them. They are never abused and play primarily Jazz, Classical and a little rock.
Are they OK "forever" or is there something I need to do now or down the road to keep them in good shape.
Thanks
